Day 131.
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6, 7 ESV)
As often as I hear the words of our adversary whisper in my ear, “you’re not worthy!” I need these words. The Lord will ABUNDANTLY pardon. No matter how much transgression and wickedness lies behind me (or before me for that matter), it cannot outpace the mercy of God. As Paul tells us in Romans, “nothing can separate you from the love of God.” I am in good hands.
Lord, thank you for your forgiveness and inviting me to drink from the waters of salvation.
