Day 132.

When iniquities prevail against me,
you atone for our transgressions.
Blessed is the one you choose and bring near,
to dwell in your courts!
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
the holiness of your temple! (Psalm 65:3, 4 ESV)

Ever have days when you feel the weight of your own guilt just building and building, so much so that you feel you can never get out of from under it? This can be exactly the place you need to be if you are ever to grasp some measure God’s grace to you. When you finally embrace the release of that guilt because of the atoning work of Christ, you will be moved by the privilege granted you to dwell in God’s house. Without this sense of God’s grace, much of the language of the Psalms will be wordy and monotonous. But with an overwhelming experience of God’s grace, the words of the Psalms will carry you to rapturous places.

May you find this Joy in the Psalms.
