Day 41.
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. (Exodus 34:29 ESV)

In the chapter before Moses asked to see the glory of God. God responded by allowing all of His goodness to pass by as he uttered his name to Moses. That particular event is another devotional for another day. The point is that seeing the glory of God caused Moses’ face to shine with radiance. Like Moses, we too get to behold the glory of God as we believe in Jesus. We experience the forgiveness of sin as His blood washes over us and takes ur guilt away. The result is a radiant face! Perhaps not of the same nature as Moses, but certainly in terms of joy and peace. Paul describes it in the New Testament like this:

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV)

Does your face shine with the joy of knowing Jesus?
