Day 302.

I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. (2 Timothy 1:5)

Paul writes to Timothy who he calls his son in the faith. While Paul may have been the instrument for Timothy’s calling as a pastor, he lives by a faith that started at least with his grandmother and was passed on to his mother and then to him. The family is God’s instrument for building the kingdom of God. The groundwork is meant to be laid in the family and fanned into flame.

So kids, give ear to your parents as they pass on their faith to you. Do you give them the attention they deserve? And parents, consider the legacy you are leaving with your children. What will they take away with them from you?

Ask the Lord go allow your faith to be passed on to your children and your children’s children.
