Day 244.
How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? (John 5:44 ESV)

In this chapter John shows himself to be equal with the Father by his works of healing which urks the Jews. So Jesus challenges them in their unbelief. This verse above applies well to people today too. Those who seek their glory from others might find it satisfying for a time. As long as you perform according to the expectations and benefit of others, they give you approval. But that approval is conditional and quickly fading. Our culture says, “what have you done for me lately?”
Jesus offers a glory that doesn’t fade and isn’t based upon conditions that you must meet. He meets them all to the satisfaction of God and offers himself to you.

In what do you find glory for yourself?
