There are times when we act as though God is like anyone else, seeing only what we allow to be seen. We spend so much energy making sure people only see us in our best light. We primp in front of the mirror, we carefully choose our clothes, we hide activities we think people might question or that would harm the image we think we have cast for ourselves. But God is not like others. He sees everything. He sees not only the things we do but the thoughts we think. He knows the intentions of the heart.
For he knows the secrets of the heart. (Ps 44:21)
