The Psalms are not silent when It comes to expressions of suffering and times of mourning. David was a man acquainted with grief. But Psalms that begin with desperate cries and mourning end up in praise and rejoicing. There is good news to the one who knows the Lord. He is faithful to his children. Our mourning will not last forever.

Weeping may tarry for the night,
   but joy comes with the morning.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
   you have loosed my sackcloth
   and clothed me with gladness,
that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
   O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever! (Psalm 30:5, 11-12)
