Be strong, and let us use our strength for our people and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.” (1CH 19:13 ESV)
I love this verse! Joab say a this to Abishai as they face two armies on two fronts and must divide their forces. But doesn’t it capture the attitude we ought to have about the mission on which God has sent us? As he commissions us, he says, “all authority on heaven and earth has been given to me…I am with you always.” That is the fuel for boldness.
