Day 15.
His sneezings flash forth light,
and his eyes are like the eyelids of the dawn.
Out of his mouth go flaming torches;
sparks of fire leap forth.
Out of his nostrils comes forth smoke,
as from a boiling pot and burning rushes.
His breath kindles coals,
and a flame comes forth from his mouth. (Job 41:18-21 ESV)

Is this a dragon? God describes the majestic creatures of his work to challenge Job (and man) and humble his pride which has lead him to question God.

But the creature, what is it? It certainly opens the door to think about what might now be extinct or hidden from the sight of man. True, it is hard to know with poetry what is literal and what is merely hyperbole. But even so, it is hard to match this creature with any that we know of today.

Do you ever think and wonder about the creatures of the past? Dinosaurs? Dragons? Makes you realize the creativity and might of our creator God.

Praise God for His unfathomable power and wisdom.
