Day 261.
Psalm 1:1-3 ESV
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
Trees planted by a flowing stream, especially one that is spring fed, prosper even in a drought. This is what a person does he delights in the way of God and not in the way of others who don’t know the Lord. Those who don’t know the lord do things to satisfy their sinful nature rather than God.
Where do you go for your counsel?
Ask God to give you delight in His ways.
