Day 209.
When I think of Jephthah I usually think of the foolish vow he made that took the life of his daughter. But his story is greater than this vow. Jephthah gives a breathing picture of Israel’s treatment of God.

But Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “Did you not hate me and drive me out of my father’s house? Why have you come to me now when you are in distress?” (Judges 11:7 ESV)
