McCheyne’s Bible Reading Plan: Ex 34, Jn 13, Pr 10, Eph 3
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Eph 3:20-21)
We give God too little credit and our lack of faith in our prayers shows that. He “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.” That’s an amazing statement. And the evidence for this is already in us at work, having made us new creations with new desires that are pushing out the old. The changes at work in us should never be mistaken for something we have been able to muster. This robs the cross of its power and steals God’s glory.
