McCheyne’s Bible Reading Plan: Ex 29, Jn 8, Pr 5, Gal 4

3For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil,
4but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
(Pr 5:3-4)

There are great dangers lying in wait for men who listen to the forbidden woman. In our culture, she doesn’t often call with words that we hear, but with her curves and semi-revealed flesh. Men, particularly young men, need to remember how easily our God-given desires can be pulled in a dangerous direction. That direction is indeed dangerous, even when we don’t see it.
